  • Local's guide to Frederiksberg in Copenhagen

Frederiksberg is a city within the city of Copenhagen. Frederiksberg has its own city council and mayor and also has its own feeling. Frederiksberg is a posh area and is known for nice flats, green parks, theatre life, delicacy shops etc. People have lived in Frederiksberg since the Bronze age, and in the Viking period a village came into being. Around 1700 the king of Denmark, Frederik IV, who lived in Copenhagen built a summerhouse on a hill just outside Copenhagen. The castle was named Frederiksberg Castle and the village at the foot of the hill was named Frederiksberg (Frederiks hill). Today Frederiksberg is a modern and densely populated part of Copenhagen. Today we offer some suggestions on how to cook and what to cook during the Grand Solar Minimum and beyond. Sustainability and self sufficiency go hand in hand with Permaculture Principles. https://permacultureprinciples.com/ It was no accident on a cold stormy Tuesday in November I choose cabbage, pork and potatoes for dinner. Not only did it sound delicious in my head but the comfort food aspect was overwhelmingly pleasant. While cooking up the dish I was inspired to share this information with the public. Sustainability and self reliance are a choice currently. In the future however there may not be ample time to prepare to be self sufficient. The time is NOW to start implementing daily steps to secure your families future. Do you want abundance and safety or will you be consumed by the unrest. The choice is yours. Begin now. Most counties within the United States have an extension office of some type that works closely with gardening experts to provide information about gardening in your local area. Because where you live can affect how and when you grow plants, it's important to know how to locate your local extension service so that you know where to go when you have questions about growing plants and your garden. So whether you're starting a vegetable garden, choosing appropriate plants, needing pest control tips, or seeking information about lawn care (including soil tests), this page will help you find the nearest Cooperative Extension Service expert for all your gardening needs. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/extension-search/ http://www.pickyourown.org/countyextensionagentoffices.htm The Breed You Need Breeds on the The Livestock Conservancy’s Conservation Priority List include the critically endangered Choctaw, Gloucestershire Old Spots, Guinea Hog, Large Black, Mulefoot, Ossabaw Island Hog and Red Wattle, along with the threatened Tamworth. Other old but more common breeds include Berkshires, Chester Whites, Durocs, Hampshires, Poland Chinas, Spotted (formerly Spotted Poland Chinas) and Yorkshires. "The earliest of the ball-shaped cabbages, under favorable conditions maturing a crop in six weeks from transplanting. The plants are saucer shaped, forming heads averaging 8 lbs. a few inches from the ground, with few outside leaves, thus allowing of close planting. Copenhagen Market Cabbage grows to its best if the seed is planted in early June and the plants set out in July. Fine hard heads will be formed before frost, and these late heads will keep well if stored in a cool but frost-proof place." http://sustainableseedco.com/copenhagen-market-cabbage.html https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fd/Farm_and_garden_annual_%2816362522066%29.jpg Check out our new PATREON and support our efforts: https://www.patreon.com/OppenheimerRanchProject?utm_campaign=creatorshare2&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook

For this months edition of size?captures, we headed over to our only Nordic store for the moment, Copenhagen. A beautiful city consisting of both traditional and modern architecture, we took a closer look at some of our latest product arrivals with a team of local creatives from the city. Residing in Copenhagen for two years now, our store is situated in the centre of the city, surrounded by a myriad of texture and culture that sets Denmark apart from many other cities throughout Europe. We met up with seven local photographers who document the city in their own way, to see how they interpreted a selection of our latest products from Nike, adidas Originals, PUMA, and also Danish natives ARKK Copenhagen, a forward thinking brand who's products are also made within their home city. Thanks to each of the photographers that took part on the day, and you can click on the link of each photographer to taker a closer look at their Instagram account to see how they perceive the city around them.
